COVID-19 Response Loaves and Fishes has remained open throughout the pandemic, not closing for a single Saturday since March 2020. We will be open during the holiday season this both on Christmas Day and New years Day. We are also providing groceries to folks experiencing homelessness who are being housed at the hotels for the winter as well as our neighbors who come to our pantry.
Donations Loaves and Fishes is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN: 83-3038362). All donations are tax-deductible as recognized by the IRS as charitable gifts. We can accept donations through bank transfer, by check, or by PayPal. For bank transfer details please email us at info@loavesandfishesnh.com. Checks can be made out to Loaves and Fishes and sent to:
Loaves and Fishes 57 Olive Street New Haven, Ct 0651
In-Kind Donations We accept clothing donations Thursday – Saturday from 9-11 AM at 57 Olive Street. Please enter through the back parking lot on Chapel Street. Check our website to stay updated on our current clothing needs. We also accept canned goods donations, however, we ask that those planning a canned food drive consider instead organizing a monetary donation drive for Loaves and Fishes. We have found that through our connections with the nonprofit food sector, we are able to stretch your dollar farther and feed more people when we receive monetary contributions in place of food donations.
